Freestar Blanche
Since my father got me a Gretsch Anniversary model when I was 14, I’ve been a sucker for F hole hollow body electric guitar. The Freestar and the Chantel are my contribution to the F hole hollow body guitars in our line up. I didn’t want to get too radical with the designs, à la the Markus 6, because there’s a certain reverence that I feel towards these classic designs. The Freestar sounds great, and it comes in various flavors. It doesn’t let down the jazzy players, and you’d be proud to have one on your knee or hanging from a strap at your next mellow gig, but it can also soar with the eagles when you crank it up. They’ll know you’re there when you’re jamming on this, and of course, you’ll get, ”Hey, what guitar is that?” Everybody knows: It’s a Freestar!
