Lazer Lloyd
Lazer Lloyd is an American-Israeli blues musician. Beginning his career as a secular blues guitarist in New York, he was motivated by an encounter with Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach in the early 1990s to become a baal teshuva and relocate to Israel. There, he became known in the country's Jewish rock scene with the jam band Reva L'Sheva and the blues rock band Yood. He has also maintained a successful solo career, and has been credited with representing Israel's blues scene overseas.
In 2015, he released his self-titled ninth album. The album reached No. 4 on Roots Music Report's blues albums chart, while the singles "Burning Thunder" and "Broken Dreams" reached No. 1 and No. 7 on the blues singles chart, respectively.
